Wife and I are concealed carry licensed holders now with Florida and Ohio. We are both "residents" of Missouri and we both have Missouri State ID Cards. We both still have Ohio Drivers Licenses. We want to keep the Ohio drivers licenses right now and keep cars registered to Ohio. (cars are registered for 2 years and don't want to waste the money and re-registering them until they expire). With our Missouri State IDs, we could still take the Missouri CCW license course and after receiving the CCW Training certificate, we could fill out the application for ccw at Sheriff's office and use our Missouri State ID cards for proof of residency and ID correct? Any issues here?

Several times in the MO CCW Law residency is mentioned as being required.  IMO their intent is to only allow Missouri residents to acquire MO CCW permits.

How will you prove MO residency with your drivers licenses and car registrations still showing residency in another State?  Many States' internal agencies are now communicating with each other and it sure would suck to get caught gaming the system by trying to claim simultaneous residency in two States.

The question is, what state do you LIVE in?  Just because you still have Ohio DL's and plates, that doesn't make you Ohio residents.

You say that you have MO state ID's?  I would assume you have a MO address on them?  Because only MO residents can get them (correct???).......and if you're a MO resident, your OH DL & CCW is null and void.  If you are now a MO resident, you can get a MO CCW.

Your FL permit is good no matter what––just make sure you update them with you current address of residence.

I would be more worried about your auto insurance.  This is what ultimately bites people that register and title vehicles out of state in order to avoid personal property taxes.

From DOR web site:

Applying for Your Missouri Driver's License
As a new Missouri resident, you have 30 days to surrender your out-of-state driver's license and apply for a Missouri driver's license. You can complete the application process at your nearest driver's license office. Bring appropriate documentation.

Testing requirements for new Missouri residents depend on the status of your out-of-state license. If your out-of-state license is currently valid or has been expired for less than 184 days, you'll just need to complete a short vision screening and road sign recognition test to receive your Missouri driver's license.

If your license has been expired for more than 184 days, you'll also need to complete a written exam based on the information in Missouri's Driver Guide and pass a supervised driving skills test.
