I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of this...

But it sounded like fun to me... .22 LR 3-Gun.  AR-15 style 22's (or any .22 rifle for that matter), .22 LR Pistols, and a cheap Henry pump .22 loaded with snake shot?

Sounded like a cheap fun deviation to me.

Why not .22 rifle, .22 pistol, and .410 shotgun........I have a 4.5" .22 AR, .22 pistol, and a pump .410 that would work perfect for this.

Shot one a few yrs ago at cmmgs range!!  Birdshot at ballons, rifles and pistols at steel!!!  Fun day!!!

I guess 410 would work too.

I was thinking .22 because we could run in the indoor ranges, but I don't see why bird shot of any gauge wouldn't be allowed too.

If we're using .22 pistols and rifles for the low expense, why not use something cheaper than .410 for the shotgun? I don't see why not to use 12 gauge or .22 shot, or whatever is cheapest.

They have done these the last two years in a row in JC as a fundraiser for the 4-H. There will be another one in SEP. They are a blast.

The Big Piney Sportsman's Club has a monthly multi-gun match that can be run with centerfire or rimfire rifles and handguns.  You do not have to be a club member to shoot in any of our scheduled events.  This is our flyer.

Multi-Gun Combat Course

Dates: 22 January, 26 February, 25 March, 29 April, 20 May, 24 June, 15 July, 26 August, 30 September, 28 October, and 09 December 2012

Time: 9:00 am.

This course can be fired as a rifle & handgun, or a rifle, handgun & shotgun course.  You will need a minimum of forty rounds rifle, eighteen rounds handgun, and five rounds of shotgun ammunition per pass.  Rifle is any centerfire or rimfire rifle or carbine that can rapidly reloaded.  The handgun is any centerfire or rimfire handgun that can hold at least six rounds and can be rapidly reloaded.  The shotgun is any shotgun that can hold five rounds.  The course consists of twenty rifle, nine handgun and five shotgun targets.  A minimum of two rounds are fired at each target, except for the shotgun which is one round per target.  All rifle and handgun targets are IDPA targets.  The shotgun targets are wooden silhouettes.  To start the course, you must clear a shoot house using the handgun.  Once you exit the house, you will engage the shotgun targets first (if you are not using a shotgun, then you go directly to the rifle).  The targets outside of the house are set up in a somewhat open woods area, and you may find yourself shooting through and around various kinds of brush, small trees and other obstacles at ranges up to 75 yards.  Scoring is a combination of time and target score.  Any kind of sight or scope is allowed.

Equipment:  A rifle sling is handy, but not required.  Hearing protection is required, shooting glasses are optional.

Classes:  Centerfire & rimfire.  You are allowed to shoot the shotgun in the rimfire class.

Entry fee:  $10.00.  Each addition pass - $5.00.  Pre-registration is not required.

Restrictions:  Shotgun ammo cannot be larger than #7 shot.

Place:  Big Piney Sportsman’s Club, located on Hwy B between Raymondville and Houston in Texas County, Missouri.
