I took my new gen 4 G34 to total range in St. Joe last night and I have never been more pleased with any handgun I own. I had one ragged hole about 2 inches in diameter through two full 17rd mags of cheapo S&B ammo with the target set @ 25 feet. I was so pleased I about shit myself.  My gen4 G17 and my newly acquired 17L that I took along weren't too bad and they held decent groups but the 34 was a thing of beauty. No extraction or eradicate ejection at all.  I've been practicing quite a bit with from my Serpa (i know, but i like it) with dry fires so I felt I had it down pretty good but this just blew me away. If some of you knew how poor of a shot I am with a handgun I think you would be impressed as well.

I had my camera set on a try pod to capture my technique because I know I wobble and re-adjust a bit too much and I need to work on it. Unfortunately me being stupid and a little giddy, when I when to replay it it showed I was out of memory and only captured about 3 seconds of video. Otherwise I would post the video so you'd know I wasn't BS'n. Granted I'm still full of shit, LOL, but I'm beginning to really come around to putting holes where i want them. I always wanted to shoot accurately and effective like a couple HTH members I've had the pleasure to shoot with and think I'm getting closer.

I'm sure shooting daily with the .22 suppressor has helped immensely with my trigger control and sight picture but I was not expecting this much of an improvement with the larger frame handgun.

You all are my only real gun friends so please don't think I'm bragging it's just that this kind of accuracy from me is a major step in the right direction. Even my 85 year old dad can usually beat the snot out of me and he never shoots unless I take him with me. I stopped by his house to brag and he gave me the attyboy but said "I'll believe it when we go next week". I love him but he's an old navy guy with no room for bullshit. I could tell he was happy for me from my expression but still sceptical. Gotta love the WWII generation.

Next week I'll bring the entire glock stable except for my g2 17. I can't never hit shit with it anyway.

Sorry for the long post but I'm sure stoked up and I've been waiting all day to tell someone.

Disclaimer: I'm 48 yo kid and you wouldn't think I would get so excited! Before the boat sinking I had a 9 in 26,19, 3- 17's, a springer 9SC, a Beretta M9 and an MP9 plus a few other baby 9's and a plethora of .380's but none of these except the M9 exerts this kind of accuracy.

This is my happy face ––->

Seems to be a lot of boats reported sinking over the last years.   Never had a boat, but my son drove my car in the river.  Dang....

Congrats on the shooting!

Just picked up a G4 34 a few months ago myself and I can gladly report similar results... I fricken love the thing... I still EDC my G22, but the 34 is my new love...

ETA, I too have Blackhawk Serpa that I enjoy....  Just don't use it for Comps....  I also have a Blade-tech that looks exactly like it, minus the Serpa retention business...

Realy happy there are no pics of one set up for 3-gun in this thread!!!   I've handled them and keep thinking my Glock 17 could use a big brother.

I don't think you'll regret it. My only  complaint is the price. I know the LGS owner and he must make some kind of profit, that's a given, but that sure as hell don't mean he gives discounts even though he has. I feel the same about Bret, it's not his hobby but his businesses and he needs to make something besides small talk. Plus he's very cool to deal with. On the g34, In his defense though he did give me a 10% discount on o shit ton of ammo, at least it looks like it on paper. Only a dollar more than Wally.

Oh well. I always try to support the local gun shops when I can even if its nothing more that buying a can of cleaner. Both Bret and Steve have been pretty good to me so I'll pay a little bit more than Buds price for their service and not being treated like hammered dogshit. I think I need to make a trident 9 purchase and a few threaded barrels. One more threaded .22 and that stable will be compete.

I have been seeing the new Gen 4 G34 in stock at my distributor which has been very tempting.  My wife has the Gen 3.

I just picked up the Gen 4 G19, G17 and should be picking up the G21 next week.  Some new suppressor host

I'm thinking about trading my Gen 3 - 19 for a Gen 4. The grip and controls are a huge improvement over the Gen 3. Plus the Gen 3 likes to eject empties onto the bill of my hat LOL, nothing a new ejector won't fix! I know the 26 won't be far behind but I really like it so much it will likely stay in the family and I'll just add a Gen 4 to the collection.

I'm beginning to think I have a glock addiction...nope I'm pretty sure.. I DO have an addiction. Come on ATF, give me my the .380!

I'm heading to the lake in a bit and what do you want to bet I bring back a Gen 4-26. Its a sickness I tell you!

The .380s aren't allowed for citizens of the us because of the ATF point system.

I have no idea what your talkin about...  1st I've heard of this...  I thought a lot of folks had .380s...

I did go to Glocks webpage and in the .380s I saw a G25 and a G28 that were ghosted out and said LE only...

The .380 Glock models do not meet the minimum amount of "points" required for the importation of a blow-back pistol according to the ATF's arbitrary Chart Of Importability(TM).  If Glock made them as tilt-barrel pistols, like their other models, they could be imported.  Glock could also add other features to the .380 models to gain them enough points to be allowed importation.  This "points" system is why Glock pistols have the "thumb rest" on their grips.

Given that they are the exact same size as their 9mm counterparts, yet fire a substantially weaker round, I cannot understand the desire to own them.

I love my 34 as well and can report it shoots outstanding, especially for a sub $600 gun. I will say I have others that will outshoot it pretty easy but nowhere near this price point, except for an older '88 W German Sig 226 that I snagged pretty cheap. I did end up putting on adj Tritium sights, hogue grip band, and changed the spring and steel guide rod. Not sure it shoots much if any better after that but I can shoot it better.

Should have been more elaborate
this is somebody's post from another forum that sums it up.

A pistol must reach 75 points in order to be eligible for importation.

Length: for each 1/4" over 6" =1

Forged steel frame =15

Forged HTS alloy frame =20

Unloaded weight w/mag (per oz.)=1

.22 short and .25 auto = 0

.22 LR and 7.65mm to .380 auto=3

9mm parabellum and over=10

Locked breech mechanism=5

Loaded chamber indicator=5

Grip safety=3

Magazine safety=5

Firing pin block or lock=10

External hammer=2

Double action=10

Drift adjustable target sight=5

Click adjustable target sight=10

Target grips=5

Target trigger=2

hope this helps. this is why they are LE only on the 380 glocks.

I was shocked how well my g34 grouped with me at the trigger. I  decent with my other Glocks but even in rapid fire my g34 groups small, it is by far my favorite gun I own.
