After handling one in Chad9mm's Instructor class, I broke down and bought one. I took it for a test run this afternoon and I like it. It shoots more like a big pistol than anything else I've shot this size. Decent to boot. I only put a box of ammo downrange but I got a really good feel for it. It won't be replacing my Glock 19 by any means, but it will have it's own role. I had a need for a slim pistol. The LC9 and PF9 were both in the running, the horror stories of the LC9 trigger and the rough fit and finish on the PF9 combined with both being tough on your hand after practice turned me off. I almost pulled the trigger on a PF9 a couple months back and now I'm glad I didn't. I got it at Dunn's in Pevely for $411 out the door. After shooting it this afternoon I pocket carried it out and about in my shorts, a little big for the pocket but it worked. I truly don't like the idea of seven rounds but the combination of the slim profile and giving the shooter the confidence of big boy gun follow up shots more than make up for it. I'll be deciding on a IWB holster very shortly. If Jimmy at Kholster is doing them, I'm in. Otherwise I may be getting my first Supertuck.

I'm actually surprised how well it shoots for being that small. I prefer the 8rd clip instead of the 7 though, little easier to handle for me. Poor choice of a name imo, M&P SC9 or something would have al least sounded a little better.
Still probably carry one of the sigs or glocks in winter but I could easily carry this thing all day and forget its there. The thickness is awesome in summer. Dunns still had more yesterday too

Dunns still had more yesterday too S&W already has an M&P 9c. I think they wanted to completely differentiate the single stack from all their double stacks, thus the name change. |
