| Any recommendations on places to buy MREs? |

I'd like to find a decent place in St. Louis, that stocks Long Term Storage food... Like Mountain house and some of the other brands that come in #10 cans and boxes that are sopposedly good for up to 25 years... MREs seem like they would be OK for a few days, but if I was to need them for weeks or longer, I think there are other option I'd rather have... I'm just not sure how much of what I want... I'd like to start putting some stuff up, but not sure how much we need... (Three Adults) I don't want to just buy a bunch of random stuff... |

MRE is an immediate need no prep required option.
Fresh first Frozen Next Canned next MRE Freeze Dry Fresh is impossible to transport easily Frozen has a short time span relatively Canned has a longer lifespan but heavy to carry MRE convenient to carry, long lifespan difficult to store in quantity Freeze Dry is easy to carry, easy to prepare, does not store well after opening so be aware of that before you stock a million #10 cans of something! |

I've got a friend that has 3 pallets of MRE's for sale. He's asking $75/case. ETA, I think he said they were 2013 dated. "2013 dated" is that an expiration date? Evidently, 2013 is the "check/inspect" date. These were made in 2010. Hope that helps.
