| Got an A3 upper reciever coming, wanting to swap it out with my A2 upper. Anyone know of any AR gunsmiths in the Springfield area? I know I could probably do it myself, but since I don't have the tools or experience, it would be cheaper just to have a smith do it. |

What am I missing here? It's only two pins. Isn't it? ![]() Your missing allot, he wants to change out the upper receiver of a complete upper. This means (potentially) swapping the forward assist, dust cover, forearm, barrel, barrel nut, flash hider, etc... from one upper to the other. Its not terribly hard really, but you need a few tools that you don't have, probably around 60-70$ worth if you have a bench vice. Honestly if you were around here I would do this for you no charge, but then again I am not in the gun smithing business. You might be able to find someone around you willing to do it for beer though, if not I wouldn't pay a profesional to do it more than 40-50 since it would only take about 20-30 minutes to do it in my ill equipped shop |

I live in Springfield, you would be welcome to use them. Rick |

Make sure you lube the threads and tighten and loosen tighten and loosen a few times before final tightening. |
