Looks nice with the new feet. What did you have to do to level it out? Tightened up the Torsion Bar Bolts... Took it to the Old Wal-Mark parking lot found a relatively level spot near the building Got out the ol' tape measure Measured from the Wheel Arch to the center of the axle Noted the difference (on both sides front back and cross... then got out the 1/2" drive ratchet with an 18mm socket and crawled under, measured the amount of bolt protruding and tightened it a quarter inch... Moved to the other side repeat... bounced the front end, rinse lather and repeat, now I have about 3/4" difference front to back and the sides are level. so it still has 3/4" of drop to the front. it HAD 3" of dump in the front. and was sitting on the Bump Stops. ETA I went to a 265/75R16 instead of the 245/70R16 a bit taller and wider... |
| LOL...Thank heaven for abandoned Walmarts. Leveling it out definitely changes the profile for the better. It is also amazing how the five spoke Silverado rims with the lug nuts showing look so much better than the six spoke rims with the lugs nuts hidden. The larger size tires go with the manly sized SUV and ascent the new rims. I bet it rides much better too now that the front suspension is not resting on the bump stops. |

Nice set of wheels. If you want someone to ride in the back and pretend they are important I volunteer. ![]() Ya know, we may be able to work something out like that. I envision flip flops, Hawaiian shirt, and orange dummy grenade. But thats just the kind of detail AFSOC needs. |
