I'm in a state of indecision. I have a Colt 6721, fairly low round count that's about a year and a half old that was bought new. Since purchased it has J&P trigger set at 3.5lbs.

Had meant to buy 6920 and was thinking about changing barrels until this happened.

Colt has been equipped with non float, Daniel Defense rails. Also have LaRue mount with Leupold Mark AR 3x9x40 Mil-Dot scope.

I'm loading for 1in7 and Colt is 1in9. Plus the fact Noveske is go to ar and Colt sits.

Should I sell Colt as stock with JP trigger and at what price ?

Sell hand guards, LaRue mount and Leupold scope separately ? -OR- Sell upper and hand guards, keeping Colt lower. What's a good price for 6721 upper ?

I could also rebarrel upper with 20" Kreiger barrel and free float. Decisions, Decisions...

Also to factor in. I have thousands of rounds loaded with 52 to 60 grain bullets.

Or would you just leave well enough alone.

You should give the hole set up to your NRA training counselor who certified you.....

You could always adopt me and give it to me as a Birthday gift!

You are allowed by Man Law to own more than one rifle, even if you do not shoot them often.

However, if you do decide to sell it, unless you find that one person who wants exactly what you have assembled and is willing to pay what you want for it, your highest return will almost always come by parting out the upgrades and selling the bare rifle as it was originally delivered.

ETA: IMO, once you start un-Colting the rifle with replacement parts you have devalued its Colt-ness and have just another parts rifle.

I would leave well enough alone. At most, a new barrel for the 1/7 you desire. There are no shortages of Colt 1/7 barrels and the aftermarket gives you ample choices too.

Are you having accuracy problems with the 1/9? You're anticipating problems with the 52gr accuracy? Opportunity to reload more ammo with heavier bullets?

Maybe a LaRue or LMT brother will appear in the future to add dimension to the original quandry?

You're not shooting anything heavy enough to worry about the 1/9 twist of the Colt, don't let that influence your decision.

Loading 77 grain Nosler & SMK. It's rare that I sell something. Rifle in current configuration doesn't suit me. Thought about 10.5" barrel but that would render it useless. All my shooting is 250 to 600 yards and I'd like to have service rifle for hi-power.

I don't know. The last decision like this was deciding what stock for shotgun. After 2 years I finally bought Knoxx Comp stock. Turns out that choice fit me poifectly.. this is another exercise in indecision and procrastination.

It would also be cool to install 24" varmit barrel for prairie dogs. Then again if going that long a barrel you may as well do it in bolt gun configuration.

I dunno.
