Oil traded @ $107.00 today.
WalMart announced looming inflationary grocery prices starting in June. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I read this Walmart thread and what the CEO said. Prices are already high if they get even higher that will not be so nice but nothing really we can do about it.
Let's just hope that Obongo will not be forcing through more gun / stricter legislation Tag till June |

Todays declaration from WalMart was preventable. Obama is printing money, money we don't have. Spending money at break-neck pace. He has no energy policy, he's pushing ethanol and giving subsidies to ethanol companies while supporting a welfare system to millionaire farmers. There is something we can do, that is if the welfare recipients don't have us out voted at the ballot box. Vote the bums out. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I get sick to my stomach every time I go near a Walmart. Can't really help that. I can vote, stock up on canned goods, ammo and reloading supplies. If the job goes to hell at least I can move near home and hunt to feed the family.
Been thinking about the inflation thing. It was said at one point, people were carrying money around in wheel barrels overseas. Can't really imagine that, but I can carry most of whats important in a back pack. Can't even really believe I am thinking like this. I am a very positive person, most of the time. |

It was Germany where folks carried a days wages in wheelbarrows. Wheelbarrows that were worth more than the paper hauled to the grocery store. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile yes I remember the stories my grandmother and grandfather told me. Pictures of people going to by bread or milk. Look at Italy for instance when they had the Lira still they where getting closer and closer to that. only time will tell how much more damage he will do to this country. I can tell you when I 1st came here things looked so different from the way it is today. I am sure for all of you that have lived here your entire life you have seen it even more. I have only been here since 1996 so I have only a short time span of how things are. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Ethanol subsidies have been around since the 1970's. I don't think Obama invented them. |

I believe that was Jimmy Carter. I could go off for pages and pages about ethanol. Hell, Obama was talking about switch grass. Remember Bush talked about this. The first big jump fuel took was like back in 02, or 03. It was because ethanol was used to replace petroleum based additives.
Ethanol isn't the answer.. if you think it is let me know how that steak tastes in a few years. Ethanol competes with our meat supply. Three years ago beef was taken to feed at 600 lbs. Now a lot of beef won't go to feed until 900 lbs. That's 300 lbs of gain on grass without grain marbeling. At this pace beef won't see grain at all. You notice any break on beef prices at your grocery store ? It's forecasted we'll be short acreage for corn production by 2015. More reliance on ethanol shortens projection. I can tell you this, grass fed beef tastes like shit. It gets worse... Pigs and chickens don't eat grass. They eat grain. Have you heard of peak pork ? How about peak chicken ? You will. Gulf oil production is pretty much shut down and the middle east is on fire. Wonder what oil will trade for today ? Simply put you're gas tanks competing with your stomach. Welcome to the "I dun't knew nuttin club."
It's like there's this house burning down and everyone is inside reading charts and stats sayin this house can't burn down. A few of us are screaming but no ones listening. Oil is trading at $108.00 today. At this rate Oil will be trading at $150.00 a barrel by April's end. I realize there is nothing we can do about this. We're just spectators. Buckle up. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile The ethanol bullshit is one of my pet peaves also. Wheat, corn, and coal, we have shitloads of it, everybody wants it, but the smartest guys in the room continue to find a way to f*ck everything up. We are being run into the ground by those that have slowly taken over for the past 50 years or so, and it's not just liberals! People need to wake up quick...... Even if oil goes sky high, we still have a big advantage over everyone else, due to OPEC trading it in US dollars. When that goes to the wayside you will not recognize this country for a while. We grew to be the superpower we are because or our isolationism and self-sufficiency, not by being the world's mommy, daddy, and atm machine. We will be isolationists again, maybe just not so much by choice this time..... |
