[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Sprint Center question

I'm heading to a concert at the Sprint Center tomorrow night. I don't really want to drive after the show so I was thinking about staying in a Hotel somewhere in that area so we can walk back to the room. I'm maybe planning on staying at the Hilton President, it looks like it's only about 3 blocks away. How is that area? I won't be able to carry at the concert and I want to make it back to my room without getting mugged. Should it be safe enough there or should I maybe stay somewhere else and just take a cab?

My wife and i actually worked there last year doing fund raising for our daughter. It always bothered me that I couldn't carry. We never had any issues, and always parked more than 6 blocks away. It's not that bad down there, especially in the Hilton area.

You'll make it. It's a well populated area and there will be plenty o' cops around after an event. The city of KC wants to keep that area nice so JOCOKS folks will cross the state line and spend their hard earned there.
