I got fired Wednesday for no known reason, they just said they were going a different route.  This company just gave me a pay raise a month ago!  Wow, I think there was something personal behind this one.  I was the Sales/Finance Manager for Indp. Honda for the better part of 9 years, and they just fired me!  I'm still in a little shock, but I'm trying to get out there and find another job, quick like!

It seems that the friend of the owner, had a friend that needed a job, and since I'm not the best yes man, they replaced me with him.  Go figure....

If you guys know of any job openings, please let me know.

Thanks,
DBAR

That sucks! It is nice to know that Independence Honda rewards loyalty.

I hope you find better job and quickly.

ETA: Go file for unemployment. You are entitled to it and earned it.

I've got my feelers out. I still want to put a name with a face.

Not your name and face. I think I got that one handled. You know what I mean.

If your much older than the guy that replaced you I would look into age discrimination if I were you. Same thing happened to my brother at a GM supplier plant for seats. He is now in the process of receiving a settlement. They had no discipline record on him,and no other viable reason to let him go....GOOD LUCK

Sorry to hear.  I bought my Element from there in 2005.

Certainly take advantage of that sweet government tit, it's there so you might as well use it.

Is it John Chezik?

I heard they let more than one person go.

Were possibly going to move my finance mgnr to sales........independent dealer, 26 years, late model one owner vehicles, no inhouse financing.

Could you bring some lenders with you? (second chance, sub-prime, etc....)

Not Chezik, and yes, I have a lot of lenders in my "pocket".  The lenders I've dealt with, know and trust me, and they'll follow me anywhere.

Email me, maybe we can talk,

It's funny, but I did more shooting in the 4 months that I'd been laid off, than in the previous 2.5 years that I'd lived in the KC area.

+1 on filing for unemployment.  But I wouldn't exactly call $320 / week "sweet".  It's a nice addition if you have some savings to fall back on, but it would be difficult to live on by its self.

Jobs are out there.  Like the one I just started this month... in another state... where I don't get to bring my silencers or SBRs.

But it beats unemployment.  And my quiet toys lived out of state for 6 years until MO changed their law.  Hopefully the same will happen in Michigan.

Sorry to hear that DBAR. I know a few car lots, just not sure what you're looking to do. Call Chuck Anderson up here in Excelsior Springs, if it's not to far.
Not sure if they are hiring, but they have a pretty good turnover rate. Unfortunately, it's not a city job, and the mony would probably be less.

This is why I love ARFCOM.  Guy gets the short end of the stick in a big way, and within hours there is a possible solution.

God bless and good luck to you guys both.  Hope it works out.
