Hey Adam, you marrying the chick or the cat? HAHA unfortunately it's a package deal! yes, this is one i had Gunwurx build for me The cheek weld isn't bad surprisingly, i may end up throwing a PRS on it, we'll see. I got the 1.93 because the regular SPR won't clear a folding Troy Industry Battle Sight Night Sight BUIS, the magpul buis will be replaced by those when the Troy come in. |

Looks sweet. Why put a light on a clearly target rifle? I guess I don't get that but whatever.... I look forward to seeing it in the EE thursday The mount is a Larue Throw Lever, can be remvoed very easily. He has the backup irons as well for that purpose. Very nice rifle. |

The extra tall mount is because the regular SPR won't clear the Troy Battle sights i have coming in.
The light is because its also my defense currently, It is a 16" midlength barrel and is lightweight under the hand guards, it is very balanced, i love the feel of it. I am thinking about going FDE too with rail panels and furniture but haven't decided yet

well i'll be damned, and to answer your question i didn't ask someone, i have a American Defense mount that is 1.5 and it just barely doesn't fit with magpul BUIS and i thought it was the same height as the Larue, well shit, maybe i need to order another mount
ETA: then again my MK4 is a 30mm with a sunshade, i wonder if that makes a difference? I will call Larue tomorrow and ask them, i ordered two mounts, one is still new in the package, maybe i can send it back and get the 1.5 |

RANGE UPDATE!
i am absolutely sold on the midlength gas system, it is prefect for a 16" barrel, i sighted it in and 100 yards getting 3" groups (with a few fliers because i suck) shooting off an ammo can (and i can't shoot worth !@#$ compared to some of you ) with PMC 55gr, i need to work up a few reloads and see what this thing can really do. Shoots VERY smooth and very controllable, i think i've found a keeper! (don't quote me )
I did however have one stoppage out of 170 rounds, i put 20 rounds of 75grain hornady TAP, and on the VERY last round it didn't eject it, it just stayed in the bolt, any one ever have that happen? |

OTOH, just after my wife an I were married, her dad opened up his gun safe and told us to each pick one for a wedding present. |

Speaking of the poor ROI that is a wedding.............. Why do only the brides get to "register" for gifts? WTF is that all about? Why can't the guys register, for actual useful items mind you, at places such as MidwayUSA, Brownells, LaRue, CMMG, Denny's/GTS? ![]() Now here is a man who is thinking straight! BRAVO! Sir |
