BATFE will no longer accept unauthorized versions ATF Form 7CR, Application for Federal Firearms License (Collector of Curio and Relics) from curio/relic firearms collector applicants.

I have a couple extra if someone would like one. When it was getting close to renew I ordered them thinking the forms were the same. I have a couple of extra too. When I found out it took 6-8 weeks just to get the application, I ordered a few extras to ahve on hand for the newbies.. |

My forms took a about a month to receive, but it looks like someone here got you hooked up.
Good news is, I mailed my finished form right after Christmas, and my account was charged the fee yesterday, so hopefully that turn-around ends up being a bit shorter than the forms req. Good luck! |

I called the Office at 304-616-4600 and they informed me that this online form is acceptable

The way I read it no prints or photo they just want your cash.  Or credit card number. Apparently the DOJ has stepped into the 20th Century and is now accepting credit cards for some fees.   Sent out 01-09-10

When I applied for my regular 01 FFL back in '93 it did not require photos or fingerprints LOL. This was before I even knew what interent was so they mailed the forms to me. I filled them out sent in the money which was only 30 bucks back then. The atf guy called me a few days later and asked a couple of questions and I received my Class I FFL in the mail a week or two later.
Since then I have had to send in a picture, which was a polaroid LOL and a set of finger print cards. I had a LEO buddy of mine do it for me at the sheriff department. I even stood in front of the deal when they take pics of the criminals. hehehehe. I can remember also that some of the FFL's had to send in blue prints of theirs stores. I never had to do that.......... |

I Stand Corrected I was wrong You can no longer download the Apps from the above address, I got my app returned yesterday, what a disappointment, but they cashed my check and now I have to wait for Official Apps to be sent I spoke to someone at the Dist. Center to order my Apps , and the person I spoke with sounded so uninterested, I was very displeased but I also ordered online so I hope I get them in a timely manner? Just like the Military hurry up and Wait

No Luck got Transferred to the Distribution Center but I did call the investigator handling my case She was very nice and informed me that my forms were correct just not on the Official form

So far they have yet to hit my CC for the $30 fee but the $200 check for the Form 1 mailed off on the same day was cashed a week ago. I know, they go to & through different offices. I'll let y'all know when the new C&R arrives. |

I've been talking with beltfedMG and a few others about a suppressor for my .22lr, plus when Eric10mm was here and let me shoot his MKIII I started thinking about it a lot more.
I also have this other idea rattling around in my head. I never paid much attention to NFA guidelines before, but I'm wondering whether a shotgun cut down to almost nothing or a rifle cut down like on Wanted: Dead Or Alive would be legal to carry concealed.
