Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his pancreatic cancer for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. No other details were given.

Although I'm not a big fan of his romantic "girlie" movies, I did enjoy some of the movies that he was a part of. Three that come to mind are Red Dawn, Uncommon Valor, and RoadHouse.

Cancer is definately a tough way to go out. Rest in Peace Patrick.
