| I need info on a GOOD pepper spray to get my wife until she gets her CCW for when she's out jogging. She carries an XD9SC in the car but can't yet while she is running. Who makes the best and where can I get it? |

I bought my wife Fox Labs. I would be careful about using "off brand" pepper sprays. In one seminar I sat in they warned Departments about accepting free samples. The next thing you know you are listed by the company as a "user" of their product! The only other MAJOR LE supplier is Cap-Stun. Punch / Freeze used to be a major player until they lost a couple of law suits. Also, don't be impressed by Scoville Thermal unit ratings! If I remember correctly the nerves in the human body can't register above 1.25 Million Scoville thermal units. PursuitSS |

| I ordered 2 cans of 5.3 from Fox Labs today and I'd like to give them a shout out for great customer service. He sold me a training unit for her to practice with for 1/2 off. He said it was more important for my wife to know how to use her pepper spray than him make an extra buck. Great folks to deal with. |

In my worthless opinion this is the best way to go: ASP
It's 10% OC which is the same as most others people pointed out here, but it's very small and easy to carry in your hand with out being noticed if you feel you may need it. I carry one of these off duty every day. They have replaceable inserts for them so you don't have to replace the whole thing every few years. They also have training inserts. |
| While I haven't OC'd myself or anyone else with the ASP spray, I must agree I really like it for size, control, and ease of use. I can easily carry it in my hand while running as a first defense, and pretty much completly conceal it in my hand. It easily shoots where you point. I got the training spray to see P.O.I. and liked it. |
