Im making this thread hopefully so it can become a future reference for people wanting to go the NFA route. As I go along the process Ill be continually documenting (photos and text) the steps im taking to accomplish this. The first NFA toy im going to be procurring is going to be a LMT 10.5 SBR.

So first post 02/01/2009.

Today I sent off for the C&R license form, now let the waiting begin. Also ordered a metric crap ton of other forms and whatever looked interesting from the ATF's website.

The ATF distribution center has been out or slow on sending out C&R applications for my customers.  They just called the local ATF office in KC and had their application in a couple days.  Sure beats waiting for weeks just to get your application.

I sent my C&R app out on 12/26/08 and they cashed my check on 12/31/08  Still haven't received my license yet.  I'm still playing the waiting game.

You're all screwed.  I started my NFA journey this time last year and now that's all I'm interested in building/buying...

Fixed that for you.  FWIW, I sent mine off on 12/23, card hit on 12/29, pending status was 1/5.  Form 4 and Form 1 completed with pictures, photos and CLEO signoff, just waiting on the damn C&R to get here so I can send them off.

I made a copy of my completed application.  If the application was lost (I'm sure that's never happened), I wanted to be able to recreate exactly what I put down before.  I don't have my application with me, but this is the number to the ATF Licensing center.  404-417-2750.

Leo, did you send in a 'citizenship form'?  I can't find one and am holding off on sending in my application in case I actually need one.
