Friend of mine had an AR type rifle stolen recently in the Murphysboro/Carbondale, IL area, pretty close to Cape Girardeau and southeast Missouri.  Stag Arms lower, parts rifle with 16" carbine HBAR barrel (not M4 barrel profile) and slim handguards, old style 2 position collapsable stock, and Aimpoint with killflash installed on the flattop in an aimpoint QRP mount.  No BUIS.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for it.

Stag Arms 5.56 marked lower, s/n is 114xx, he doesn't want the entire serial made public at this time.

.....yeah and the question was how was the AR stolen..... which is relative to the thread topic. If he was making a police report, they would ask the same question dude.

And you and ak4784 are going to go fingerprinting around and investigating this crime? The police report is for the police, not arfcom.
How it was stolen is entirely irrelevant to the purpose of this thread, IMHO.

can't we play nice.  its an appropriate question. but the poster also doesn't have to answer it if he doesn't want to.
its win win guys.  i'm sure they feel bad enough that it was stolen.  no need for everyone to get into a rile over it.

It's not that big of a deal if someone asks how the rifle was stolen. While it's not the primary intent of the post, the information contained does beg the question of how the rifle was stolen.

+1 - Last time I checked, anybody can pretty much say or ask what they want within the confines of the COC.  Doesn't mean OP has to answer.  Geez...........

Correct, except you're using the phrase "beg the question" incorrectly.  Just thought you'd want to know... Link

Your right. Wrong use of the phrase, but the question is still viable based on the original post.

How it was stolen is completely revelent to this thread. Why dont you let him answer the question if he chooses to? You don't seem to be doing anything to help in any way, other than keep us from knowing how all this happened.

Look, I don't know how it was stolen, when it was stolen, or any other details of the theft.  Just trying to offer a heads up and help out my friend.  If I'd known this would be such an issue I would have not have posted here, and I'm going to ask that this thread by locked.

Any time a firearm is stolen it is such an issue. Look at the bright side; a lot of people know about this rifle.
