I asked this question in the supressor forum and got no response.....go figure. On a form 1, can I have someone machine some of the parts for me??? I assume the answer is yes.....just as long as none of the parts leave me sight??? I'm way to poor to afford one from even YHM.......but I have friends with access to a machine shop and I'm thinking I could build one for 5.56 on the cheap. Help. Please. |
Technically, yes you can have someone machine them as long as you are present and take them with you at night.
Unless you have a proven design that you are copying, you would be better off to save and buy the best can you can afford. Keep in mind that there is virtually no resale on cans, due to adding the tax every time it transfers. When you buy/build a can, plan on keeping it for life. If you build a turd, you're going to be hating it long after you get over the little bit of money you saved. |

YEAH!!! It's the 28th and the Form 3 transfer application for my "free" can should be headed to the alphabet soup guys today!!! Then, some waiting while the Form 3 transfer is approved and SUB_MG can take possession of my "free" can. Then we send in the Form 4 and wait a bunch more so I can take posession of it.  Basically if I get it by Christmas I'll be happy.
