Sorry if this post is in the wrong spot, but anyone from Missouri have experience with transferring rifles. I'm trying to buy an AR from a friend, but have no idea what is the procedure is for such here. Again, sorry if this is in the wrong forum...

if your friend is from mo just give him the cash and you're gtg.
and if you really want to get crazy write up a simple bill of sale.

std ARs (non-NFA items) are just like any longarm/rifle and subject to the same rules as procluded in your state
in other words, check your local/state laws
hometown forum might have some tacked threads regarding your state's laws on firearms and transfers

Is your friend in Missouri? In that case, give him the money for the rifle. If he's out of state, it needs to be sent to a Missouri dealer who can transfer the rifle to you.
