Polytech ETA: Well I went up there, decent show, little small but that seems normal for the winter shows. Picked up some full size black dog mags for my ciener kit, almost bought some ar mags from cmmg but I've got ar mags coming out of my ears ![]() Didn't have any arfcom sightings either. |
Sorry - apparently you missed the sarcasm. Then again - I've never lived anywhere before where they cancel schools and shut down businesses a week in advance for a "chance of snow". It's not like we live in S. Texas where it only snows once every ten years. It snows every year here. And every time it does, half of the population acts like the sky is falling and hides. Judging by how some of them drive in inclement weather, maybe it's better that they're not all out on the roads. |
There are idiots everywhere. Heck, when I lived in Washington St. it snowed every year and they still went into shock when 1/2" fell. And to be on topic, I'm going tomorrow. I hope there'll be some cheap ammo cans left, since I forgot to get some last time. |
the ammo guy that always wears the cowboy hat has nice .50cal cans for $8 each or 2 for $15 |

I went. Forgot to wear my arfcom hat though. I was in and out in about an hour and 15 minutes. (Got there at opening, and was pulling out of the lot at 10:22) Got a new assault bag for one of my AR's, and a box of the CCI Arsenal rifle primers. Anyway, fair show, rather typical. CMMG and Fire For Effect was there in full effect, and I, too, had to resist buying more SSAT-Equipped mags. I also had to resist a pretty nice $90 Mosin M44, the little carbine. I don't know why I want one of those, I know it will beat the shit out of me! ![]() I didn't see a hottie handing out newspapers, maybe she got there later, or my Hottie-Radar was on the flitz... |
If it's a RK show, it will be held despite the weather. Found that out last January when a major ice storm hit SW Missouri closing schools for a week and cutting power to entire towns. The RK gun show went on in Joplin as planned despite several inches of ice on everything... and still had a fairly good turnout.

Well, I picked up an ambi sling plate and some P-Mags. I saw 69Camaro but missed PolyTechKid. I drooled over the Oly .45 rifles and seriously considered going into debt for one as well as a new Glock 23. I think I need one badly. All in all it was a decent show. To bad JakeT wanted to stay until it closed! He's a gun whore if I've ever met one

Price on them was $675. They natively take a modified .41ar uzi mag(with a block welded on to them). Other mag options, you can buy a dedicated lower that takes unmodified greasegun mags(this is the route I'll be taking). Or use a socom block and use slightly modded .45acp uzi mags(hard to find), or use a Hahn block in a Cavarms reciever, and used unmodded greasegun mags. Of you can continue to use modded uzi mags from oly, which are expensive, and hard to come by, if you have or can find .41ae or .45acp uzi mags you can send them to oly to have them modified for $35 each. Oly is also allegedly playing with modding sten mags, and making plastic magazines. |
So. didja sell the KelTec? I have one that takes G19 and larger mags, and yes, the grip is rediculously short. |
| Nah. I wasnt going to give it away! That was the only thing in my arsenal that I would part with, and I love try'n to wheel and deal guns. I almost had it traded for a G17 3rd gen, the guy wanted the keltec real bad. He came up to me several times but he wouldnt take my best offer of the KT + $50 and he could keep his mags. He wanted $100 and I didnt want it that bad. Im splitting a table at the Harrisonville show in about a month, so I'll try it again there with some other goodies. |

Yup it had night sights. I gave 375 for mine (KT) + the TDI grip + the Hogue grip + the rail (and my gunsmithing |
Okay, I'll concede that was not a good trade. I believe that those in the bizness would call that an assraping. I know all about the evil Mark. I've met the man four times if you catch my drift. |
