People like that scare me, that's one reason why I'm upset I went to the range I belong to yesterday to pickup brass and I found a sign on the gate that says NO SHOOTING OF ANY KIND and a new padlock on the gate. Sure was nice of them to notify the members of the club, I'm having a hell of a time getting ahold of them. Now all I have as an option to shoot is the public range in Sullivan. |

I thought it was for me. I was thinking; How did they know? I don't have a webcam.hock.gif |
Which range did you belong to? I hope it wasn't the 67 gun club. I shot there recently with a friend who is a member and really liked it. I just wish I lived closer. |

Eric, Pit-sitter, It could just as easily be me, I've still got a hole in my floor somewhere from an ND (notice I didn't say AD, I don't believe in AD's) cause I was being a dumbarse. A colossal one. But I can guarantee you, shure as shit, I wasn't pointing it in an unsafe direction! On another note, anyone have the address for Pit's webcam? You know, blackmail material

I was referring to my appearance "Colossal dumb ass..."haveWouldn't wan't to gross out all the chilluns on the WWW I had an unexpected discharge in my basement while hand cycling some shells thru an old Rem m11 shotgun. You could say it was negligent b/c I was using live ammo...don't own any dummies. On the other hand I was very prepared for it (muzzle in a harmless direction) I was aware that it is always a possibility. You know, you try always to be ready for a discharge when you have a gun in your hand but you still don't expect one. |
And when they do happen unexpectedly, but obviously due to negligence, they are very loud and the burned gunpowder is very acrid. Yeah, BTDT.

It was the loudes F&$%ing noise I've ever heard in my life. My pooch, basicaly the closest thing to a kid I have was sitting about 5 feet away. It scared the living crap out of her. She headed for my bed, her "safe place" and basically told me to "F-Off!" in her own canine way. I felt bad, and was pissed that I had a hole in the floor and was kind of waiting for the Po-Po to show up. |
Franklin County Wildlife Club in Washington. It really sucks because now I have to plan on at least a half day at the range and I rarely have that much time to go. I often only get an hour or two and when that is ate up by drive time, it is gonna put a hamper on my shooting. |

That sucks!! I work just down 47 a few miles and was thinking about joining to have a place to do all the stuff you can't do at the MO conservation ranges. Bummer......My buddy is a member there, I'll have to call and see if he knows yet. I don't know where you live, but the Henges range at I-44 @ Antire is about 30 minutes from downtown Washington. $3/hr per booth, not people. Closed Mon/Tues, open late on Wed. Maybe I'll see you there some time. |
