I am shopping around and looking at buying a Glock 30 from EE.

Last time I mentioned a private party transfer (from another state) to my local FFL, he said he would not do it because he didn't believe it was legal - but then I hear of others doing it.  Not sure if he's just uncomfortable or if it is indeed not allowed...

My question:  Is it legal for a private party (non-FFL) in another state to directly mail/transfer a handgun to an FFL around here, or will he need to go through an FFl local to him who will then deal directly with my FFL?

Thanks!

We accept shipment from individuals as long as they provide a photocopy of their driver's license or state ID when they ship the gun, for the purposes of our logbook.
