Ok, I was looking through some footage tonight and found some footage to inflate Dukes ego a little.  We all know he's camera shy.  Took it about a month ago when we put together another upper for my SBR.

No really, how does he pull the triggr so fast?  I can't seem to get 3 rnds off that fast.
I guess I'm going to have to practice on that a bit more.

Ever get mad at your computer when its running slow and just double-click the living shit out of your mouse?  I mean, really mash it.  ARRRRRRRGH WORK DAMN YOU!!! ---like that.

Now do it with your finger in a trigger guard.

P.S. DBAR I have night sights for you.

P.P.S. I can't dance at all.  I look like a cross between Vanilla Ice and that "Riverdance" guy.  Its really unfortunate and I stopped trying altogether years ago.

You know, I never had an Atari.  We did have one of these.  Matter of fact, I had that game in the deck pictured there.

The real question isn't "how'd he shoot so quickly", which isn't that difficult, but rather "did he actually hit anything"?

I think that was the 2nd or 3rd video game I had when i was a kid.  I played a lot of B-17 bomber and their submarine game on it.  I've got ten more years on me than you and Duke though.

I only had a stick and a rock to play with, but I've got ten years on you SubMG.

They invented the wheel and electricity, after my formative years.  LOL

Actually, we had pin ball machines, there were no video games when i was growing up.  Had thirteen channels on the tv, but only got two channels.

Well, I'll admit that I'm still a rabid gamer.  I started with the old Nintendo and I still have one and still love to play RBI Baseball.  But in general, my video games grew up with me, big time.  Here's my current setup.

The wheel is a Logitech MOMO force feedback with sequential shifter.  The pedals sit under the desk, there is no clutch (didn't want to pay extra for something that would jus make me slower in these already hard racing sims).

The game pictured is "GT Legends".  The car is an old school Porsche 911 at Magny-Cours.  Great game, it sims all the old GT cars from the 60s and 70s, and some of the faster ones are insane.  I mean, you are running bias ply tires and drum brakes mostly, then you have enormous 427ci engines stuffed in the cars.  Braking at the end of a straightaway is terrifying.  The game makes you start with a Mini Cooper and that's smart, because learning to trailbrake '65 Falcons or learn the shift points of an Austin Healey is a pretty steep learning curve!  LOL!

Here's a bigger pic of my gaming area.

You can see the stereo reciever and three of the five surround speakers.  I'm racing an AC Cobra against some Mustangs... no contest baby!  You can see my SP1 clone AR in the corner, its my "gun of the week".  I pull one longgun out of the gun room every week and put it next to the computer, so if anyone breaks in I won't get stabbed in the back in front of my safe trying to decide what gun to shoot them with.  The gun of the week will be the lucky winner!

Why are you looking at me like I'm crazy?

Duke, you need to dump the old CRT and get the Dell 30" or the Westinghouse 37" to race on.  Then buy the new Logitech wheel, pedals (with clutch) and sequential or H pattern shifting, then fabricate your own "car" to sit in while playing these.  If you get really board then you can master hydraulics and actuators so your "car" is all force feedback :)  You sound a lot like me.  I'm gonna be poor forever because I have a lot of expensive hobbies   If only I won the lotto............

Won't fit in my existing computer desk and I don't want to buy another one.

Don't get me started on first person shooters, real time strategy games, and flight sims.  Its a wonder I get anything done.
