| I hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag, but congratulations are in order for our own Duke Nukem. He is now a member of one of the most reviled groups in society - The Bar Association! Congratulations and welcome to the club! |

Duke, You've sunk to a new low. Congrats. "Me miserable? Which way shall I fly? Infinite death and Infinite dispair. Which way I fly is Hell. Myself am hell. And to this deep, another deep, to which this Hell I suffer seems a Heaven." from Shelly's Ode to a Wandering Jew Again congrats! But remember its lonely at the top . . .or is that the bottom. Regardless, you will always have our best. al |

Well, I get inaugurated/sworn at the Supreme Court building next Friday, but provisionally I'm an attorney right now. There are no more "t's" to cross, no more "i's" to dot... I could have taken a case today if one had come my way. Instead, I called the Attorney General's office. I interviewed with them a couple of weeks ago, they have two openings in their Kansas City office and they were waiting for bar results to get back before they made a hiring decision. |

Mike, You have always seemed like the kid brother I always wanted but never had. Whether you were running around like a knucklehead in a ski mask or threatening to take over the world with a bayonet, you are always a joy to shoot with. Congrats on your well deserved accomplishment. See ya soon, PITSNIPE |
Well guys, I got sworn in today at the Missouri Supreme Court and also across the street in the chamber of the MO House of Representatives (for federal stuff, I applied for licenses to practice in both Eastern and Western federal district courts as well as the state courts). Today was probably the single biggest day of my adult life. It finally sunk in, I really do feel different now than I did yesterday--somehow I'm standing up a bit straighter, and I feel a bit more serious. Don't worry though, I'll always be a crazy knucklehead at the MODCC shoots, I thought of the infamous ski mask run and smiled a bit on the inside when Chief Justice Williams was doing his speech and got to the part about "never do anything that demeans the dignity of our profession" and so on. www.hunt101.com/img/099061-big.JPG I want you guys to know that I appreciate the support you all have shown me at every turn. Missouri members here have encouraged me constantly in my pursuit of this goal. When I was stressed and down, when I flunked the bar exam and had to pick myself up by the bootstraps, you guys were there, every one, telling me that I could do it. Here I am signing the roll of attorneys. I've been wanting to do that for quite awhile now. There are some seriously prestigious names in that book. ![]() Here are Morgan and I on the steps of the Supreme Court, with the MO State Capitol behind us. She bought a new dress for today and I have to say she looked very "Jackie O" to my eye. ![]() |

Keep em. If I ever run for public office (what a laugh THAT would be) and that stuff comes out, my plan is to do what Ahhhnold did with his record of womanizing and basically say "yeah, that's a photo of me with an AK47, so what? If you're afraid of guns don't vote for me." |
