Going to start commuting from Auburn, how the hell am I supposed to get to work on time?

Used to live in Auburn/Opelika. Give yourself 90 minute drive time....and leave earlier than you think necessary. Other option is to relocate.

Google maps says that it takes 2 hours. And from what I have heard about the hwy 280 traffic, you could be stuck for 2 hours in that garbage near B'ham.

Leave early.
I'm 25 and it's been that way my entire life. Some days are worse than others, but never better. Don't expect it to change.

I-85 to Mont then I-65N. Way faster than Hwy 280.

If you go by Hwy 280 remember that there is almost always a Trooper within 25 miles of B'ham and they love to run radar

Wife mentioned moving to Atlanta back when we moved here, I said Hell no, the traffics sucks.
Apparently Birmingham has been annexed by Atlanta within the last year or two.

Thanks for heads up on 280 guys. Hopefully I will have my home built in Coosa county next year and be a little closer.

this by far. stay the hell off 280 if at all possible.
