Anybody else go to the circus, oops, I mean, gun show? Younger son and I went around 11 AM and the line to get in was wrapped around the side of the building. First time in all the years I have been going to this show that I have seen this. Very, very crowded. Everywhere I went, either I bumped someone or they bumped me. I told a friend that I hadn't had my butt touched so much since my honeymoon. Anyway, it was definitely a seller's market. Most of the "evil" type guns had at least doubled, and in most case tripled in price since the show last November. Mags too. And ammo was outrageous. The cheapest I saw .223/5.56 was $1 per round for 55 gr, about $1.50 per round for 62 gr green tip. I overhead one vendor telling folks that the gov't was stopping the production of that caliber for civilians, and he had buyers two and three deep shelling out the cash for his ammo. Most vendors had jacked up their prices on everything, but there were still a few who had regular prices on their stuff. All I spent there was the admission fee and my time. Hopefully things will have calmed down for the next show.

Was same way in Mobile last weekend. Lots of AR's on the tables and walking the floor, but I didn't see any exchangeing hands. Lots of unknown (tier 2? ) lower receiver brands circulating, I guess the better known brand stuff sold 1st.

I almost went but decided not; I don't want to battle the crowds and probably wouldn't buy anything anyway..
