| I am looking for a couple stripped lowers. The show in Slidell wasnt much for EBRs and only had a few overpriced stripped lowers (DPMS for $150!). I am not too picky, mainly looking for Spikes or Double Star, but I can live with something else. Does the Kenner show have much fun stuff? |

Yeah, sure does - lots of NcStar scopes, samurai swords, and don't forget the awesome candied pecans...
Seriously, though (well, I kind of was serious above) if you're in the market for a pocket knife or a new pistol there's lots there to handle and there are a few AR guys too - but a plethora of stripped lowers to choose from you won't find. I picked up a BCG at the show a few months ago - there were two I had to choose from (in the whole show). If you've never been it's probably worth checking out, but I doubt you'll go back. There are also some ammo guys, mostly selling Lake City stuff. And good luck finding a Spike's lower in stock. Anywhere. Current wait time on those is 5-8 weeks - or more. Spike's won't even give a lead time on their website anymore. Some cruising around the forums here might turn you on to some but you better be quick once it's posted. Anything from Spike's is getting hard to find, so most are just putting in their orders and gutting out the wait. Happy hunting! |
I actually live up near Ft Polk. I'm just at Keesler for a few weeks for school so I figured I'd take advantage of being close to some gun shops that arent Star Pawn in Leesville. The gun show in Biloxi had several lowers but I found out stupid Fed law wont let you buy stripped lowers out of state.

Arms Merchant in Mandeville put in an order for some last week. It might be a little while if you can stand the wait, but I put my name on two of em today and there were still some unclaimed - I imagine he'll have them all sold before he even gets them in. I bought two of these about 2 months ago. I just happened to walk in one day to set up for a transfer and he said he would have 5 of the Spikes Jolly Rogers in the next day and I put the money down right then. I haven't hear anything about Essential Arms lately but they might have some if you call. |
Not happy about that at all.
