Anybody having issues with AT&T service in B'ham the last day or so?
My iPhone keeps losing connection to the network today. It will have full reception and then go to searching for no apparent reason (been in my office all day). I'm thinking it's the phone because I've had to replace the it three times in the last year but when I spoke to AT&T they said that they were working on a couple of towers in the B'ham area that could cause service interruptions. I'll be able to better test tomorrow when I go to Millport and I'm well outside of the area but thought I'd see if anyone else had issues like this. Anybody? |

Anybody? 4.0 update installed last Tuesday, issue started this morning. Lots of folks having issues with the new update but in research I haven't found phone connection to be one of them (spent all day looking). Who knows though? After 3 replacements I feel like if you put me in front of a bucket of iPhones , I'd pick out the stupid one!!! 
ETA- There are connection issues with the iPhone 4 that are hardware related like the "Death Grip". I have a 3Gs with the 4.0 update. |

Same problem down here in Mobile, AL (Iphone 3GS with 3.1 OS or whichever is 3.X latest, not 4.0 OS). Loses connection or no connection since 3.0 OS, monthly or weekly refresh to Itune Sync doesn help at all.
Seems like a common problem with Iphone as mentioned on many computer/techie discussion forum. I am not even excited about the 4G model either if a simple phone call cannot even completed or having plenty of signal/coverage bars. |

| I have nothing as far as the OPs problem. Just a general observation that AT&T sucks. I sure miss Cingular/Bellsouth. AT&Ts 3G is a big joke especially in AL. I also hate that they have a lock on the IPhone. AT&T even failed with Steve Jobs at the controls in front of the whole world when he unvailed the gen 4 IPhone. I live right in the middle of an AT&T dead spot so I washed my hands of them a long time ago. Thanks for the chance to shit on the sorry SOBs. |

No problems here at all. Oneonta to Gadsden area.
For home just bought an AT&T microcell since I had 1-3 bars at home. After installation, have a solid 5 bars and just like landline phone now. Highly recommend to anyone with weak service at home. Switched a few months ago from Verizon because could only use Verizon when standing in front yard |
