I have had my Ms. permit for several years now but I a question. I have not had any contact with law enforcement (getting pulled over) for atleast 10 years. In the state, are we required to inform if we are pulled over. I drive a company vehicle so the tag is registered in the companys name.
Thanks |

When they run your driver's license and tag it's going to come back that you have a CCW permit. Whether you are required to volunteer to the officer that you are carrying concealed or not, I dont know.
I do know that when he comes back to your window after finding out you have a CCW permit, he's probably going to be asking if you have a concealed firearm on your person. So even if we are not required by law to immediately disclose that we are carrying, the question to consider may be, "At what point in the traffic stop is it a good idea to disclose that I am lawfully concealing a firearm?" Following this thread for some good info from the LEO crowd... |
