Anyone know some good places to pick up some part time hours somewhere in the evenings or weekend?

Wal-Mart or maybe your local full service grocery store.  Get the "Bag Boy" job, tips used to be pretty good for bagging & taking the stuff out.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid that route. Only places that are open late or in the evenings really are pizza places, restaurants, book stores, movie places. Trying to think of some other alternatives. Of course, I may not get to be too picky as time goes on.

walmart is for the devil
bookstores are boring cause you can't read. your steadily restocking the shevles and it's like a library. dead quite

pizza jobs are fun, especially if you deliver.

try one of your local security companies. it'll probably on pay like $7 (now. $9.25 when the messiah passes his minimum wage increase), but it's a cake job. most the time your guarding trucking yards, or old folks homes. once an hour you have to patrol and hit censors with your magic wand. not a bad gig. just long hours.

Security companies actually were a thought of mine. Just didn't know what they paid. Guess it wouldn't hurt to look into.

Anyone got any reco's on one's to try or stay away from?

Try a coffee shop like in a bookstore. Not too stressful, you don't smell like grease and its not wal-mart. My buddy who was in the marines was bored when he was stationed in Albany, GA so he worked a few days a week at one of the coffee shops in a barnes and noble or books a million. He pulled in a lot of tail that way too lol.

Are you a "big ole boy"?  Work as muscle in a bar.

Dairy work/Farm work.

Car wash. Work for yourself or at an established business.

Lawn work.  Leaves need raking and trees need trimming.

Clean house gutters.

stay away from dsi in montgomery. masters is okay, but are demanding. securitas is a good way to go. they have the walmart contract. nothing like driving around in a heated vehicle all night.

Consider doing process service?  Nights & weekends are the best time to find people because cops/sheriffs don't typically serve papers during that time.
