What is the ward of NOLA, and why would someone be freaked out about going there? I just scheduled our truckers to pickup some computer equipment at an expo my company is attending in New Orleans, and as NOP I included the sales rep that will be at the show. The sales rep replied "Where in NOLA – aren’t they being picked up at the hotel?" and her second email "I thought dave666thomas was referring to the ward of NOLA – freaked me out for a sec" Apparently I am ignorant in this matter. |
| The only thing I can say is the areas of NO are typically refered to as wards or basically voting regions, during Katrina, you heard a lot of things about the 9th Ward, this was the area of NO hit very hard with flooding, low rent housing area, low income people...there are a lot of wards that make up the NO area.... |
