ETA: The GB has been approved and the details are HERE now.  I floated this idea a few years ago and it never went anywhere, but since my last HTF GB suggestion (the custom lowers) went so well (thanks to everyone else involved, not me -- all I did was suggest the idea) I thought I'd try this again.  If we could get all the necessary approvals, etc., would anyone here be interested in a GB on Gulf States HTF ball caps? I was thinking maybe a plain cap with the bolt-face logo (I don't know what's involved with getting permission to use that) embroidered (not screen-printed) on the front and "AR15.com Gulf States HTF" embroidered small underneath the logo, just above the visor, then our screen name (optional?) on the back. This wouldn't be a cheap cap, but it would be somewhat unique and great for shoots, shows, and other such gatherings. If the BFL is not an option, maybe the logo that we had put on the custom lowers (or some variation) would work? Any interest in this at all? Any other ideas/suggestions?

Do you mind asking His Royal Goatness for us?  I don't have a problem going through MsEmbroidery for them -- she already has the logo and is used to sewing it, I've seen her work and it is top-notch, and she is a member/supporter here so I think she would be more forgiving of special orders/requests (e.g., if we didn't all want the same color, etc. -- although I personally think it would be neat if they all matched). I'll IM her a link to this thread and see if she has any input/suggestions... (ETA: Done. )

i have returned from the mountain and i have joyous tidings for the flock! hardshell, your the boss on this. get with goatboy. mike..... from the great and wise goat.... Email me and email me the design proposed... The BFL Logos are touchy, but with cloth items I'm not as concerned. I'd like to give the work to Idette if possible, so email me everything you guys got for approval. |
Does this mean that Razor and I wont be dividing Tim's guns up?   Guess Beetle can come back from the woods with some clothes on too. |
Remind me to smack you the next time I see you I am not wanting anything to do with that cloth now that Beetle's been running all over the place with it on him eta: leave it to TBS to mess up our chance at aquiring some nice equipment

Just to clarify & avoid any misunderstandings (I've already read some things wrong myself! ), we only have the go-ahead to put the ideas on "paper" and submit them for final approval -- this project/GB has NOT been approved yet.
