I have a 14.5" middie that is complete except for welding over the pinned flash hider; I've done the drilling and it is all set, just don't have the equipment to weld over the pin. Buddy with a body shop has TIG setup, but I'm having trouble getting our schedules to work.
Anyone in central IN (am near Noblesville) have a recommendation for who might do this? Thanks in advance. |

Harbor Freight has a 110v flux core wire feed welder for $112, and you can find an auto-darkening helmet for about $37.
It might seem like overkill to buy a whole welder for one flash suppressor pin, but it only takes a second and you'd be surprised how much stuff you find to fix weld on once you have a welder. http://www.harborfreight.com/90-amp-flux-wire-welder-68887-8494.html |

Just make sure to practice a little before hitting the plug weld on your rifle.
