| Did anybody get hit hard last night? My roof leaked and the power was out in the area. Apparantly the Paoli Town square got hit hard too. As I drove home this morning I noticed some damage mainly in the Avoca/Springville area. |

As I drove home this morning I noticed some damage mainly in the Avoca/Springville area. My house is on the top of an open hill near Judah (exposed to lots of wind). I didn't notice any damage but I will check better today in the daylight when I get home. I'm sure the tarps on my wood piles are now gone... They were starting to come loose in the wind yesterday but didn't have time to tie them down. |

Well, even though I'm in the Springville area, I haven't noticed any damage. The storm hit here somewhere around six or six thirty, and sure sounded bad. I was sick when I came home from work, and crawled into bed at 5:30 PM. |

I am sicker than I have been in years right now with this crud in my lungs and sinuses. Turn right on 54 like your going towards the 58 intersection. That row of pine trees on the left looks like they got obliterated, there were pine branches all over the road at 4am. In Avoca drive past the post office and look behind the guard rail on the right. That mess was all over the road . My QC inspector nearly ran into it in the dark on his way to Bedford. |

I'll have to track them down in the field. Neighbor had a small amount of roof repair to do. I was sort of surprised though. I had a 6X6 underneath my back deck (no more than 2 feet off the ground where the post was) and somehow that 6X6 post ended up 40 feet across the yard. Sort of freaked me out... it's obvious that it just rolled from where it was, but how in the heck does the wind get strong enough to roll a 6X6 post out from under my deck and not cause any damage to the house? I know one thing... that was a freakishly strong storm... |
