I have a CCW in Kentucky. I know I'm granted reciprocity in IN. In Kentucky I'm legally allowed to carry into stores that have 'no firearms' signs. Should something happen and the store owner find out I'm carrying, they have the authority to ask me to leave. If I leave, then I have broken no laws, and thus no police involvement. Should I refuse, obviously that is a different story. In Indiana, what are owners options should I conceal in a building that visibly has 'no firearms' signs posted. An Indiana statute code would be great. |

It's treated EXACTLY the same way as it is in Kentucky. The owner/manager can ask you to leave. Refusal to leave would constitute trespass. If you leave when asked, no harm no foul. |

Basically, no, signs don't mean anything here. If it's a school or gov't bldg (with metal detectors) it's not a good idea to try to get in there. Bars, restaurants, stores, etc. carry if you want. I just wouldn't recommend OCing, though. |

I don't think I've seen a "no firearms sign" very often here in Indiana (gov buildings excluded). Maybe a hospital... Jared Jewelers and Value City Furniture have signs. I oblige them by not going into their stores. Didn't know that, but it's good to know now. Never been to Jared's and I don't think I ever will (there commercials are annoying as fuck). I did buy a couch at Value City once, don't think I'll be going back there though. |

Only local government buildings you aren't allowed in are jails and buildings containing courthouses. State buildings I'm not sure on. You can enter gov't buildings with metal detectors (as long as they don't contain courthouses) as long as you have a license to carry. No schools or school property, unless you are dropping someone off and not leaving the vehicle. |
