| It is that time again, another 1500 this weekend in Indy. Who's goin, anyone taking stuff to sell or trade? Got several family members going to this one, including one new to firearms in general. |

I like Fridays personally. It has been a while since I have gone on a Saturday, and I have heard they are crazy.
I will be delivering 25 Paracord slings that I make to one of the booths. Their business is called GunStuff4U, I am pretty excited as it should get me into the show for free. And has given me some spending money

| Think I'm going down on Friday will take my Savage Striker in 308 along with the 300 whisper barrel dies and brass. May take one of my Insight M6X-IR lasers to sell or trade. Will be looking for high end optics or maybe a couple of cheap Savage long actions for reciever donors. |

I went after work with a co-worker. Bought a few small parts because I was there, wasn't really looking for anything so I can't comment on prices, lots of pmags in the $14 range.
Saw one guy carrying around a unconverted Saiga S12 with a sign stating they were banned and his asking price of $850. When I walked past he was explaining to some people how to convert it. |

LOL I guess I missed that "deal". Were you wearing a Buell jacket by any chance? I was walking behind someone wearing one, your avatar reminded me. I've been thinking about getting a Draco, there were a handful of Dracos and Draco-Cs from a couple vendors for $369. Just a heads up for anyone else looking, don't spring for one of the $425 ones when you first get in. 
And the pretzels were terrible this time. Blech. |

Went yesterday at 1:30. Once in, it was nice to roam around pretty well unfettered for a while. It crowded up pretty quickly, though. That was my first time going, and I would have to image it's pretty insane on Sat & Sun.
Picked up some PMC 45ACP, a Streamlight TLR-1, and had Raven make a rig for my M&P 45c. Overall, a good time and I'll make the trip again. |

Went looking for a SA Mil-Spec 1911 in stainless, but 1911's were pretty thin, no joy. Almost bought a SIG 556R, but the fit and some of the features weren't quite up to the price. I would have bought a lower from ZX Guns, but as usual there was a 10 ft. thick wall of people surrounding their tables throwing money at the salesmen, eventually I said screw it. At the last minute I found a lightly used CZ 75B with box and 2 mags for $400, went home happy.
I had the CZ 75B seller (Kentucky FFL) ask me if the guy standing next to me, who was in the process of buying a handgun from him, needed a FOID card or not. I asked the guy (clean cut office worker type) if he was an Indiana resident with an IN ID, he was, I said hell no, that's Illinois bullshit. The KY FFL at least was doing transfers properly through an IN dealer in the next booth. While the KY dealer was arranging the transfer, the buyer asked me "Is 9mm, like, available at Gander Mountain and places, uh, around here?". I gave him the good news, asked what gun he had just bought, and he admitted that he had no clue at all. It was his first gun ever, apparently he just bought the one that looked coolest in his price range. Turned out to be an FNP9, and I was glad to tell him he had bought a decent gun from a reputable company. He left to fill out the 4473, otherwise I would have given him the forum address and suggest some things to study up on. I must have that kind of face, that's three 1500's in a row where a total newbie asked me for help out of the blue. First guy ended up with a Ruger Mk III, second guy an M&P 9. |
