Counties that would work would be Laporte, Starke, Saint Joseph, Marshall, Jasper, Lake, and Elkhart. |

You can call the DNR. They have some program for city people to find places to hunt called "hunters helping farmers" or something like that. I think it's mainly for deer that are damaging crops but they may be able to help you find something. I've tried, they just assist with deer hunting property. I did sign up a couple months ago, and never heard anything. |

I wondered how successful that program would really be...
This is a total shot in the dark but you could call your county's purdue extension agent. They usually have a real good relationship with the local farmers and could possibly get you the "in" that you need with one of them. |

Any picked cornfield with wide open spaces will do. They'll feed just about anywhere, and if geese have been seen in it, that's a bonus. |
| Did you find a place to hunt yet? I might have a possibility. This guy I know had a bunch of black dirt farmed out and then let it flood out. It's a pretty large area of water. Let me know if your interested. I'll ask him the next time I see him if it's something you're interested in. |

ETA- The season opens up this Saturday |
