Tried a search but no luck - So is the Crown Point gun show worth a 90minute drive? |
|
I just drove 2 1/2 hours. spending money on a hotel tonight and tomorrow. Well I am on the other side of the tables though.
Seriously, was in there tonight setting up and the place is asshole to elbow full of tables. I didn't look around much as I was to tired to look. Haven't been up here in a year and it was never this full then. |

I am going to be there with my friend. We are selling off his deceased father's stuff. I will be the bald guy with a ton of knives. I'm shaving my head for this special occasion; just so fellow ARFCOMMERS will recognize me! Stop by and say hi. Whereabouts, do you know your table number(s) yet, Lacey? Odds are about 50/50 I'll be able to make it (if I do make it, I'll only have an hour or two warning). |

Missed the show, but from previous experience, Len is on a soapbox about something to bring in sales each time I see him. What was the subject this time? Back in 1999 he was scare-mongering about Y2K. |

I just can't get over him humping the 1917, 1919, M3 and all his other heavy, high priced stuff to all these shows. I think I would tired of carrying it. I think he does it to get attention. He sure doesn't sell much, that I have seen. |

It's cool looking at his stuff and listening to his rants. =) I was there on Saturday afternoon, bought a assist-open knife for my wife, and got a good deal (I thought) on a Ruger LCP. |

From my experiences with him your pretty much right on, its always something with him. On top of that he's a rude fucker held up the door at the show so no one could move until he got his shit loaded no courtesy at all.
Wish I would have gotten in here a bit more prior to the show, Ill look you up next go around! We'll be setup again the next show and will be bringing a bit more gear. |

Len, he has been trying to sell the same stuff for years. I used to think he was funny, now he kind of annoys me.
The shipsy show is pretty good with a lot of walk in stuff. However, it can be heavy on hunting type stuff at times. Im going to try and go and the indy show is the 25th? I will be ther with Midwest. I think i owe a few guys a drink of their choice one night!! |

Quoted: Quoted: I'll be there Saturday morning walking around for a little bit. I'm on the hunt for a few things. I'll wear my black DILLIGAF hat, anyone spots me stop and say hi. nice to meet you today! It was a pleasure to meet you too & the other ARfcommer that was there. You have some really nice stuff, I just need to get a new shotgun to put some of your stuff on. Since I blew my back I can't shoot my pumps anymore, that's also why I didn't stay longer, I was only there about an hour and I still haven't recovered from the walking. Any suggestions on a softer recoiling auto-loader 3" 12gauge? I've been thinking 11-87P or maybe a FNH but I don't know anyone that has any to try. |

Can they take extended magazine tubes and other goodies, I haven't really looked at them to much? I'm looking more for a home defense/tactical type setup. I don't hunt or shoot trap/skeet anymore |

I'm looking more for a home defense/tactical type setup. It's a modular scattergun. They're supposed to release the "tactical" barrel/magtube this month. AFAIK, it's the softest shooting semi-auto shotgun you can buy today. The first time I had a chance to try one was last weekend. It had the "Shark Gill Brake" cut by THESE GUYS. It's a real pussycat that seemed to be crazy-reliable (we went through two or three hundred rounds of assorted 2¾" and 3" shells that morning. Now I want one!
edit to add: Just remembered - they're really light too! |

I seen them online when they had their big release promotion but didn't know they were coming out with a tactical version. That Shark Gill brake system looks good and seems like it would help. Thank you for the information, I really appreciate it. |
