Is there anyone in Northern IN that does parkerizing? I just picked up a SA Garand that I am going to fix up as a gift for my dad. I was thinking about refinishing all the metal. I am open to other suggestions too. Thanks

What kind of finish is it? Isn't it paint? How much rust protection does it offer? Is it a difficult process?

KRC refinishing. He's in Avon IIRC. Does good work from what I've heard and seen so far.
