Anyone here use Tannerite in Indiana.  Any legality issues?  I was going to order some to shoot.  I also saw where some were making their own.  Any body try making their own?

I am not a lawyer.  This is not legal advice.

My best friend is a cop that went to bomb tech training down in GA last summer as part of his bomb squad training.  He said tannerite was discussed in the training and there are no legal problems using it.  Unless you use it to harm a person or someone's property...  But having it in your home or in your vehicle is OK.

Yeah, it's legal here in Indiana. In fact, last summer I saw a one gallon batch of it set off at one time.

Before you order some send me an IM.  I work part-time for a local gun shop that always has some in stock and may be able to get you a good deal.

After you go shooting with it, it will become something you can't leave home without

We have been using it here for about 4 or 5 years at our shoots.  The biggest we have done is a 5lb charge.  It is legal, as long as you use it for its intended purpose.  I would recomend that you use the manufacturer's saftey guiude lines, or we will read about you in the Darwin awards.

ya that is great stuff but highly addictive.  My friends and i bought a case of it last summer and had tons of fun with it.  It is perfectly legal in indiana, but i would advise though that you would only use the stuff in an area where there is no possibility of anyone getting upset about the noise.i have heard it is very destructive when placed inside of objects like computers, old fire proof safes, pumpkins, etc... just what i heard though....  and one more thing though stay at minimum of 50 yards away i have heard of debris up to 50 yards.

The first year we used it, we set it on logs, well let's just say we did not have to split wood the next day.  One of the charges fell off a log.  When the charge went off, it was looked like someone  kicked it like a football.  It went about 100ft up and 100yds down range.  One of the most impressive things I had seen.  And that was only a 1/2lb charge.
