The instructor from your link is a good guy, retired IPD officer. If you can not make it to one of his classes, Pop Guns also offers handgun classes. If I had access to a range facility, I'd offer to help you out. Unfortunately I have been having a bit of trouble finding someplace to shoot lately. |

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=30&t=240742 I would also recommend any of the Gunsite 150 or other basic courses hosted at the Boone County Sheriff's Dept. in Lebanon. |

I know Shooter's over in Elkhart used to have a class. Friend of mine sent his wife thru it a few years ago. I don't know if Midwest is still offering that though. Might want to try with them first. Also might want to try the NRA. I think Warsaw and Nappanee might also offer classes. I will have to do some checking. |
| What do you want to get out of the class? If it's just safety and some marksmanship skills then the NRA course would be OK. If you want real fighting skills and techniques/tactics then you'll need to move up to one of the classes hosted by Ken Campbell in Boone Co. or a course like the one Shooter521 linked to. I've taken one of Ken's basic classes and it was excellent. |
