Anyone out there going to shoot the 3-gun match at Wildcat Valley next weekend(25th) I think my dad and i are going to try it out. It will be our first. |

www.wvrpc.org/ Check later in the week in the 3 gun area for round count. For birdshot nothing heavier than 7 1/2 shot. Slugs as needed. Should be a good one. No rifle shots over 100 yards and most less than that. Bring your own water/drinks and such. Rodney always has good stages and Mike uses his pnumatic moving targets sometimes depending on the stages. Im going to try and help on setup on Sat and avoid the RO thing IF possible on Sunday. Have you shot multigun/3-gun before? |

The club has always had the 7 1/2 shot rule as far as I know. Its inteneded for the way the trap/skeet ranges face the frontage road I believe. Its kind of silly for the way the other shooting bays are configured. Its not like the nazi's are out and I think in our situations its not a factor. People probably use 6 shot or heavier all the time but I just always pass that along to shooters. In fact Im pretty sure I have used #6 shot when I ran short in the past but I try not to. For me the only time I have yet to need anything less than #8 is the demon possesse Texas Star and we dont have one at the Wildcat. I used 5 shot last time for that and now I even have a box of Remi Phesant load #4 for the damned torture device Star. I actually like it in a masochistic way |

Next area match is in Owensboro Sat, July 22nd orpci.com/schedule.htm Then the VERY NEXT DAY Sun. July 23rd Atlanta www.atlantacc.net/modules.php?name=Calendar&file=index&Date=07/01/2006&type=month Im hoping to head down Friday night for the Owensboro one and drive back and shoot at Atl on Sunday. Im sure the wife will make me buy or pay for something at the mall for my sins |
Are they required for the shotguns too, or just the rifles? I have two of these that were provided free at a match I went to many years ago. |
Those will work just fine. |
Speaking only for clubs that use USPSA rules ... any gun that is not in a holster or a bag needs to have a flag in the chamber. Of course, pistols have to either be in the holster or bag. |
