| I'm not quite sure why an Amber alert was issued in this particular instance. It ssounds like there was a dispute and it was a he said/ she said type thing. The father rakes the daughter and is spotted in the area a day later. When he doesn't comply with officers he's shot while his daughter is right there next to him. I'm trying not to pass judgemnet until all the facts are properly reported...but from the inital reports that I've seen on WNDY 23 it all sounds a bit suspect. |
Word is that he tied up the wife. Sounds like an a-hole to me. |
He not only tied her up, but beat her for 3 days prior. *UPDATE* According to reliable sources, the wife had asked him for a divorce and that they had been having lots of money trouble.There is also talk that the little girl may not have actually been his child.  The place where he was employed is almost at a standstill today. They have had several preachers in for a visit , and production is almost non existant. His co-workers says that this sure is out of character for him. Something doesnt add up.

In defense of police, the guy was beating his wife, tied her up, and abducted the girl at gunpoint....Then he fled from officers and when they finally got him stopped he was threatening them (and possbibly the little girl) w/ a loaded weapon. Sounds like it was justified to me, so long as the police did not risk injuring the girl while firing the shots. It is my understanding that three officers fired one the man. |
