OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been praying ever since I cast my vote on those crappy electronic voting machines.  That damned thing kept selecting Democrat when I was clearly pressing the Republican option.

The school I voted at was so depressing as the people in line all appeared to be liberals who could barely speak English.  The woman in front of me proudly stated she lived in Washington and just came from there.  With a worried look on her face she asked what ID she needed to provide.  I questioned her hard about her residence and hinted I might raise the issue with the staff there.  A couple minutes later she exited the line and the building without voting.

Go HOGAN!!!!!!!!  Go BONGINO!!!!

Ditto.  I've been praying for Gillespie to win as well.

95% in and less than 1% down. Depending on which area has not been counted it could still go either way.

WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY FOR MARYLAND.
WoooooHOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
I might cry.

The only thing more shocking than this would be New York or California voting a Republican governor.  This is awesome.  All those days in  Annapolis fighting an uphill battle against those criminal, lying  Democrats.  To now have some hope of taking back our rights is an amazing feeling.  We have to triple our efforts now.

What will this mean for our gun laws?

Will the new governor get rid of our unconstitutional
new assault weapons ban?

Unfortunately, it's not exactly his call or in his power to do that.  He can have an influence on the enforcement of it.  I also expect he will be pressured to have the MSP respect the recent court ruling on Maryland's concealed carry policies and make them abide by it and the Constitution.  I hope to be legally carrying my gun in Maryland by this time next year.  I will then be able to plan for vacations and outings that take place in Maryland.  As it has been I tended to go to Virginia, West Virginia, or Pennsylvania so I can legally carry.  I always feel naked in Maryland when I am not carrying.  We need to push for a repeal of sorts for SB281 and make clear to the legislators in Annapolis that their seats are at risk in 2016 if they do not play ball.  The only reason all those criminals did what they did is because they were bribed by the Democratic money. They feared for their support if they did  not. With the sweeping nature of the Republican victory today I can see that pressure easing quite a bit for multiple reasons.  Like most animals by nature they felt empowered by a mob mentality as they had all the cards last time.  Next time, not so much.

I almost chose to move away from Maryland last year, but then I realized that if I ran and let Maryland fall to the dogs that they would grow in size and power and that it would only be a matter of time before the liberal insanity found me anyway.  I decided that what Maryland needed was more people like you and me, not less. Now look what has happened today.  We made a big change, no a miraculous change in the right direction. We have to fight much harder now.

When I heard that Hogan had won this morning, I was dumbstruck.
7 more Republican delegates and 2 more Republican state senators were added to the General Assembly also.
This is only the beginning, we cannot steer the stat back to sanity with just this election.
Let's keep the pressure on and show them that they work for us!

Hate to bring you down, but Brian Frosh also won and he likely has more sway in our current gun laws.

This is a tight race. I read it could potentially last until the 14th cause of the absentee ballots, though i doubt it does.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if anything positive happens with gun laws here.  We shouldn't have to worry about him signing any new stupidity though.  We'll see what he does now that he's elected.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Great news for my home state! I couldn't believe it either. It's a big step in the right direction.

We are outnumbered 2 to 1 in MD. We kicked ass ! Thank you to everyone who got the vote out. When we work as one amazing things happen. I don't know if our gun laws will get better but nothing worse should happen. Sweet victory and a stern warning to the libs. They don't own this state anymore.

Me and some friends were discussing it over pizza today.

Someone was saying that the new governor is gonna try to
tear apart the current assault weapons ban and such.

Does anyone have any idea on this?
