Who in MD has a 50 BMG.
Let's see/ talk about it. I have a 32" zel custom tacalite coming soon. For now it will be a "pre MD ban" spike lower. |

You just gotta know a member to guest you. |

I've had two, sold both, don't miss them at all, and I work on a 1,200+ yard range almost every day.
Nice to have one around to keep the driveway cleared, but not utility otherwise, IMO. I'd much rather bang stuff with my .300 WinMag (208 A-Max at 3,000 fps) and/or with any number of more pleasant, more economical and more accurate calibers. Even the average shooters expectations of the .338 Lapua can exceed reality, and to really see any advantage over a .300 WinMag, hot 7mm or equivalent, we'd have to back up to about 1,500 or so with best quality handloads. |

If you're a member of the Quantico club there is a 1000y line. I have shot on a range up in PA (about 2.6 hours away with a 400+ yard range) 340 Defense in WV (an hour from DC) has a 400y range White Horse Center in WV has up to a 1000y range for a minimal fee. More are out there just gotta look, and be willing to become a member of the club that owns the range. |
