Good morning,

Looking for a smith in the DC area.  I would prefer to drop off/ pick up than to mail.

~2000 SA  Milspec that was  worked on about 10 years ago.  Has a 3.5# trigger and runs fine.  However, I wanted to have the internals  looked at  and checked over for reliability/ safety purposes.  Perhaps have  some parts  replaced with higher end stuff.  Not real comfortable with such a  light trigger.

Looking for someone who would  be good for just basic  work,  not looking for any  "mods" or custom  work...

Let me know if  you know of anyone in the  area....

Thanks and regards

If you use the guy, please post results.  I'm always looking for a good 'smith.  I could use a PM with his info. too.'

Thanks

Yes.  Dropped it off Tuesday.  Will report.

Regards

ETA  He broke it down and critiqued the previous work.  Showed me where the previous used a grinder/ dremmel on the sear parts instead of a stone.  He also showed me how it failed a safety check every few attempts.

I always performed safety checks, but this type of check is new to me...
