As per maryland state law, what is the max length of a pocket knife that a person is allowed to carry, before it become illegal?

I've been told less than 3" but can't guarantee that is correct.

There is no max blade length.  As long as it folds, it's GTG.

This.

No fixed blades and no autos (for concealed carry), but everything else is legal.

It's presumptively legal to carry fixed blades openly in certain situations.  I've never been hassled about my fishing knife, for example, and hunting I'd imagine you could have a field knife no problem.

Autos are legal to own, but not legal to carry.

Basically 3 inches or less you are safe anywhere, beyond 3 you could have trouble in certain areas with stricter knife laws.

This is correct.  Nothing in the criminal article about length.
