SATURDAY: Van Hollen to Speak at March on Washington to Prevent Gun Violence Washington, DC – On Saturday, January 26, 2013, Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen will join religious leaders, elected officials, victims of gun violence, children’s health and safety advocates, and thousands of concerned citizens on the National Mall to call for the prevention of gun violence. Following a silent march from the Capitol to the Washington Monument, participants will hold a rally where Congressman Van Hollen and others will deliver remarks. "I have long been a supporter of common sense measures to prevent gun violence,” said Congressman Van Hollen.
