Hi everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekends with your families. I've moved to DC from California, and now I am a DC resident. I'm wanting to purchase a AR 15, and the one that I am looking at buying is a Ruger SR 556. I have very little knowledge on what AR 15s I'm allowed to purchase as a resident in DC, and where to purchase it from. My plan is to just buy the gun in Virginia and have them ship the AR 15 to DC. Please help me with this process, as I really want an AR 15. Is owning a Ruger SR 556 legal in DC? Can someone recommend a store that I can purchase it from nearby? in Virginia? What magazine capacity is allowed in DC for AR 15s? Thanking you very, very much. Best wishes, Josh |

| What were you thinking when you decided to become a resident of D.C.? Not just gun related laws but taxes, services, crime, traffic, schools, etc. all suck in D.C. and are bad enough for me to prefer the hell that is Maryland over the District. If possible, switch to Plan B and cross the Potomac for a far better life in Virginia. You can still drive, walk, bike, or take the Metro into any business you have in D.C. |
