I understand the only legal time and way you can transport a firearm in a vehicle without a permit is while transporting a weapon to: A Gun shop for repairs. From place of legal purchase. Formal or informal target shoot. Sport shooting event. Hunting. Trapping. Dog obedience training class or show. Organized military activity. When I'm transporting to a range, what evidence do I need? Article 27 SEC. 36D (b) In the event that the officer discovers the person to be wearing, carrying or transporting a handgun, he may demand that the person produce evidence that he is entitled to so wear, carry, or transport the handgun pursuant to Sec. 36B (c) of this article. And what about this? Is this article superseded because I'm going to a range? Article 27 SEC. 36B. Any person who shall wear, carry, or transport any handgun, whether concealed or open, upon or about his person, and any person who shall wear, carry, or knowingly transport any handgun, whether concealed or open, in any vehicle traveling upon the public roads, highways, waterways, or airways or upon roads or parking lots generally used by the public in this State shall be guilty of a misdemeanor Also, on a direct home-to-range (AGC) route on Marriottsville RD between Rt 40 & I70 a section of the road is marked school zone for about 1/4 mile. I don't think it's school property per se it's a public road w/ an entrance to a school set back. Any issues if I get stopped on that section of road? TIA IP |

You can transport guns from any 2 places where you can legaly have them You have to make a direct route and can not stop for anything including gas If you are stopped by an officer - they first have to have reason to search your car. Just keep your guns out of sight and don't give them reason to search your card. If they pull you over for speeding - they still need another reason to search your car |
No, you can stop for gas but only gas. They don't want you running out of gas with guns in the car. |
